Fun Hamburger Cupcakes

I have made these a ton of times and they are always a hit! In fact, they were so cute, they were once posted on a famous celeb’s blog! These are really easy you just need yellow cake cupcakes and chocolate cupcakes, some frosting and a good sugar cookie recipe!
To assemble your cupcakes:
- Cut the bottoms off all your chocolate cupcakes, these are your burger patties
- Cut the top off your yellow cake cupcakes
- Cut the bottoms off the yellow cupcakes
- Then assemble your cupcakes: bun, burger then:
- yellow frosting for the mustard
- green frosting for the lettuce
- red frosting for the ketchup
- Top with a burger bun and insert a frilly toothpick
To make the sugar cookie Fries:
- Cut your sugar cookies into 1/2 inch wide log strips.
- Cut off the ends at an angle.
- Press sugar lightly into the “fry” shapes.
- Bake for 6-8 minutes
There you go! A super cute BBQ themed treat!
Hot Dog Sugar Cookies

When I stumbled across this picture in my Pinterest travels, I fell in love with it! These would be so cute at a 4th of July BBQ or other summer BBQ! All you need is a great sugar cookie recipe and a few other things and you are set and ready to go! I am not sure who came up with this idea, (the Pins link back was not this recipe) so I came up with my own!
Sugar Cookie Recipe
I used a box dough for this because I was in a bit of a time crunch. If you are looking to make them from scratch, a friend used a recipe from Betty Crocker and says that it was awesome to work with. You will want to make one complete recipe, to get 12 cookies. If you need more than 12, double your recipe.
What Else You Will Need
- Red Food Coloring
- Yellow Frosting (or color white frosting yellow)
- Coconut (for onions)
How to assemble
- Roll out 12 “buns” in an oval shape
- Mix the red food coloring with the rest of the dough to make the hot dog
- Roll out 12 hot dogs
- Score each end of the hot dogs so that they look like they are sealed
- Sit the hot dog in the bun, slightly press the sides up so that they surround the hot dog
- Bake at the assigned temp and watch carefully for them to not get too brown
- When you remove them from the oven, lightly sprinkle with “coconut” and set to cool
Once your hot dogs are done, place on a rack and cool.
When you hot dogs are cool pipe on a yellow squiggle for the mustard! You are ready to serve them!
Easy Dessert Nachos

I really like nachos….but I LOVE dessert nachos! These are so easy and what is great about them is they can be frugal and quick to make.
For your “Chips” you will need to fry up some flour tortillas so that they are nice and crisp. Then sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on them.
For your toppings you should choose a few from this list:
- Whipped cream
- Strawberries or any other fresh berry
- Fresh Mint
- Warmed Nutella
- Warmed Peanut Butter
- Warmed (like 10 seconda in the microwave) Jelly
- Crushed candy
- Dried Fruit
Then build your dessert just like you would nachos. You won’t need to stick it in the oven again, just serve with a napkin and a glass of milk! These are so fun! My kids loved them! It is a fun spin on a favorite snack!
Chocolate Covered Brownie Ice Cream Sandwiches

Yep, you going to hate me for ever allowing you to lay eyes on this! But what is a girl to do when she is craving chocolate and on Pinterest trying to stay awake! I found these and wouldn’t you know I had a box of brownie mix that I had scored for just .50 cents using Ibotta and some lonely ice cream in the freezer just waiting to be used for these amazing creations of chocolate goodness.
All you need for this is a box of brownie mix, vanilla ice cream and some chocolate chips (about two bags) or chocolate melting wafers. You could also make them with other flavors of ice cream too!
- Bake your brownies by placing batter on a jelly roll pan or use baking dish that about double the size suggested by the directions. You want these thin about 1/2 inch thick when baked.
- Once you cool your brownies, cut them into squares. (they don’t have to be perfect-o if you know what I mean)
- Take your ice cream out and let it sit for a few minutes to soften then spread on to brownie squares and top with a second brownie square to make a sandwich. Insert the stick. Place on a tray
- Place completed sandwiches into the freezer for 30-40 minutes to freeze
- Melt your chocolate.
- Once your sandwiches are frozen, remove one at a time and cover in melted chocolate chips/melted chocolate.
- Place back in the freezer to harden. This will take an hour, maybe two.
There you have it…an amazing chocolate treat that no one is going to turn down!
