Weekly Walmart Trip 6/6

By Extreme Couponing Rudy on June 6th, 2012

Whew!  What a trip today!  I tried to take advantage of as many store ads as possible today.  In the process we broke a jar of baby food and a bottle of nail polish.  That’s what happens when you shop with three kids!  Anyways, I had a great cashier, she was awesome at her job and she was HAPPY!

The Sun Drop is actually from Harvey’s.  Bought 11, used 11 $1/1 coupons and owed $0.22.  Not bad!

I have been getting several requests to do a price match up with my lists.  I am not able to do that at this time, I bought 103 items and it would take to much time.(Away from my kids)  However, I give you my favorite deals!

Quaker Granola Bars B1G1 $1.09 Used $1/1 Coupon

Freschetta Pizza B1G1 $2.39 Used $1.50 Coupon (Savings Club Member) *If you’re not a saving club member you can still print $1/1 Coupon

Frigo Head Cheese $2.38 Used $1.50/1 Tearpad

All Laundry Detergent $2.99 Used (3) $1/1 All Detergent RP 06/03/12 & (3) $1/1 Target Coupon

***Subtotal Before Price Matching & Coupons: $346.20

***Subtotal After Price Matching & Coupons: 83.24

How much was the Mac’n’Cheese? and where did youfind a coupon? :)

The mac n’ chz 5 packs are on sale for $2.25, I used a $1 tearpad coupon!(I found the coupon in Dollar General) If you don’t have that coupon it’s still an awesome deal. Also, the single packs are on sale b1g1, making them just $0.49 each.

i love to just walk around dollar general and look for coupon tear pads, they seem to have quite a few at times. the last one i got was for 3 musketeers bars, bought quite a few at about 34 cents apiece after price matching.

    Hey Rudy,

I’m new to your blog and have a couple questions about Walmart price matching BOGOs and your coupons used for this great transaction. For the Freshcetta, When you told the cashier that you had a BOGO, did you say “it’s BOGO at Publix,” or “it’s BOGO at Publix store for $6.78” or “it’s BOGO at Publix for $3.39” ? I am curious because the Publix BOGO listed on your match-up list for the Freshchetta is more than the price you have listed above of $2.39 (or is the $2.39 a typo?). Does your Walmart base your BOGO price on the Walmart price or the Publix price? And then when you gave coupons, did you use a $1.50 coupon for each pizza?
Also, the same question for the quaker chewy bars. The price match lists shows 1.49 as the half price, but above lists $1.09. Did you have a coupon for each of the quaker cookie boxes, or did you use the $1/2? And where did you get the chewy dipps coupon? Was it included in the $1/1 quaker soft baked bars?
One more: your store accepts competitor Q’s for cents/dollars off and lets you stack MC with those competitor Q’s?

Sorry to ask so many questions, and I understand your time is limited and you cannot provide a full match up, but with access to the same coupons as you I would like to know what I can and can’t do at Walmart.

    Thanks!
    Danielle

I would never even attempt a shopping trip this large at Wal-Mart, let alone with kids with me! You must have the patience of a saint and the best cashier in the world. I always take it in small increments so that I make sure nothing is missing… I don’t have a lot of great luck with Wal-Mart but I guess stories like this are what keep me going back!!! Congrats on the great trip!

Thanks, and I just make sure I plan everything very thoroughly before I go. I get in, grab what’s on the list, and get out! And yes, I sometimes forget something as well!
