To Share, Or Not To Share
First let me say this post has nothing to do with coupons. At least not directly. I just want to share a few little stories with you readers and then get your opinions.
A few mornings ago, and my husband might kill me for sharing, my husband grabbed my toothbrush. Let me back up for a second. We have a large bathroom. In fact, it’s almost two bathrooms in one. I have my side and he has his. I decided to put my toothbrush at his sink. I do have a good reason for this. Anything and everything that’s on my side of the bathroom, my children destroy. My makeup, my toothbrush, my deodorant, my hair supplies, and I could go on and on. Anything on my husbands side, they don’t touch! Not even a small glance. So, I thought if I put my toothbrush on his side, it would be left alone. WRONG. Now back to the beginning. A few mornings ago after I brushed my teeth, I look over at my husband who was now brushing his teeth…with MY toothbrush. I instantly freak out asking him why he’s using my toothbrush! He spits, looks all weird and says, “it’s yours? Why is your toothbrush on my side?” I then give him the whole explanation followed by his toothbrush is green and mine is purple. If you don’t already know purple is my all time favorite color. He should know that green is a guy color and purple is girl color. Right? Plus, when he picked it up there were two to choose from.
Well, my toothbrush is back on my side. I’m sure the kids have done something to it secretly without me knowing. Oh well. I guess that’s the life of a mom.
Second story, and my dad is going to kill me for this one. :) A long time ago, over ten years ago to be exact, my dad ran out of deodorant. Now back then my mom didn’t coupon like I do today. Today, if someone were to run out of something, they could just head over to the stockpile and grab a new one. Needless to say, my dad didn’t have a backup deodorant. He looked for my moms deodorant first and failed at finding it. Then, he headed to my room. He looked around and found some deodorant sitting on my dresser. Yup, that’s what he used! That’s not even the best part. Later at dinner he was telling mom he needed new deodorant and that he had to use mine. I was a little grossed out. Then he has the nerve to say my deodorant was not that good and it had hairs all in it. I was still grossed out and then confused because I knew my deodorant didn’t have hairs in it. I asked him where he found it and said on my dresser. Then I started laughing and laughing. When I was done laughing I told him I kept my deodorant in my bathroom and the one that he used was my girlfriend’s from when she stayed the night over! Then the entire dinner table was laughing…except dad! This is just one of those stories you never forget!
Ok, now let’s have a little FUN! How do you feel about sharing toiletries? Now, after going through so much as a mom, it doesn’t bother me if a sharing accident occurs. In fact, I’m still using my same toothbrush from a few days ago.
Just leave a comment below with your sharing story or your opinion, and you could win a FUN prize! My husbands favorite deodorant is Old Spice, so I thought that would be a great giveaway considering what we are talking about. Three lucky readers will win a NEW Old Spice deodorant.

I’ve gotten a lot of static on how she did the deal. She did price match everything pictured. This was done at Walmart. Check out the deal scenario below.

Note- she did have a $5 minimum purchase, it was not a back to school deal, so I did not add that. Everything pictured above totaled $0.05!

FREE Chick Fil A Today!
Today was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick Fil A. We wanted our FREE meals so we got busy this morning! Check out how we made out costumes! And yes, I let the kids do their own shirts, so no, they are not perfect. I believe a true kids craft should be done by the kid! They had so much FUN making these, even if Launa doesn’t represent happiness in the picture :)
Step 1. I went through all the kids play clothes and found white pieces of clothing that would work for the project. They all had a stain on them somewhere, but after we added the spots you would never have known!
Step 2. I grabbed some acrylic paint, a nice size potato, and a knife.
Step 3. I cut up the potato so we could have different size spots. Then I cut a little around the edges so they weren’t perfectly round.
Step 4. I stuck wooden skews into the potatoes so the kids could grab them easily.
Step 5. I placed cardboard in between each piece of clothing and then I let the kids dip the potatoes in the paint and press it onto the shirts.
When they were done, I used a blow dryer to dry all the spots. This was such a FUN craft, and the kids loved it! I’m thinking about painting with potatoes more often! When all the spots were dried we were on our way to Chick Fil A! I was hoping I would find a lot of people dressed up when we got there. I was planning on taking some pics and sharing them in this post. Unfortunately, even though it was SUPER busy when we got there, we were the ONLY ones dressed up! Seriously? Come on people, where is your sense of FUN? Anyways, we got our FREE lunch!
