For those of you who have a Nap Nanny, or just want to keep updated on recall items, listen up.  Amazon, Best Buy, Toys & Baby’s R Us are recalling the beloved Nap Nanny after five fatalities. In one incident it was reported that the baby was placed in the Nap Nanny inside the crib without the harness secure.  That baby was found dead in between the Nap Nanny and the crib bumper with several loose blankets.

While it’s heartbreaking that a child suffered while using the Nap Nanny, I have to wonder what in the world were the parents thinking?  In all death incidents, the Nap Nanny was not used properly, and of course the child suffered for it.  It really bothers me when a tragedy like this happens and the product gets the blame.  If you remember, the Bumbo seats were also recalled not too long ago.  I personally loved the Bumbo seats and continued to use them even after the recall.  I did not place it on the counter, on the table, or even on the floor and leave my child unattended.  Some of the recalls lately are ridiculous and the wrong people are getting the blame.  The Nap Nanny for instance is a FABULOUS product and they went out of business because of stupid, careless users of the product.
