Homemade Hummas

Hummus is such a yummy healthy food.  I like to eat it with warm pita bread.  It’s a great snack, but sometimes I even replace it as a meal!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans chickpeas, drained
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 lemon squeezed or 2-3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Blend in a blender or food processor until pureed and smooth.
  2. If it is too thick add more oil and/or water.
