Homemade Butter
Homemade butter is SO yummy!
However, we all know that with sales and coupons we can get butter for FREE! That is the best time to stock up and freeze anything you won’t use right away. But, I have a friend who did this FUN activity with her kids and I want to share it with you. It’s a great learning experience and very hands on for the kids! They will have a blast doing it. Ok, are you ready to make some homemade butter with us?
First gather the things you will need to make your homemade butter. You should have some mason jars laying around especially since I shared those great mason jar coupons with you a few months back. If you don’t have any mason jars, anything with a lid will work. You will also need a pint of heavy cream and some sea salt.
Next just pour the heavy cream in the jar and….
SHAKE!
And shake,
and shake some more!
The kids might get tired of shaking. If that happens, just pour what’s in the jar into a mixer, and mix for a bit! Put a pinch or so of sea salt in (to your tasting) and then put it back into their jars.
Homemade Butter at last!
There! You have your homemade butter! So much FUN for the kids and they just made butter! This looks like so much FUN, I might do it with the kids and make a video for you guys!
Thanks, Roni!
