Shopping Mall FREEBIES Weekend

How was your weekend?  Did you get any good deals?  If you did, share them with us!  I’m excited to share my deals with you!  The family and I set out to spend a day at the mall, and of course before we headed out I was sure to print all my coupons so I would be prepared!  Check out all the deals I was able to score.

Home Depot

Home Depot was probably one of the most FUN stores to shop in.  Do you remember the Home Depot Zombie Mulch game I told you to go play?  Well, I hope you played.  Because for every Facebook account you can earn up to $30 in Home Depot coupons!  So, that means I earned $30 worth of coupons and my husband earned $30 worth of coupons!  That’s $60 in FREE Home Depot goodies!

The coupons are only good for items found in Home & Garden.  So, when we arrived to the store we went on a hunt!  When you play the game you get one $5 off of a $5.01 purchase, $10 off of a $10.01 purchase, and $15 off of a $15.01 purchase.  So, you know me, I tried to get as close to those totals as possible!  The first things we put in the cart were Disney Flashlights and batteries.  We figured that would be great for Christmas toys and stocking stuffers.  These items were found in the Home & Garden section of Home Depot.  However, when we arrived to checkout we were informed that even though they were displayed in Home & Garden, they were indeed considered Electronics.  Phoey.  Back to Home & Garden we went.

We walked around for a bit and checked out all the great stuff we could choose from.  They had Christmas decor, Pumpkins, Plants(or course), and…wait for it…an entire cleaning supply isle!  Yay!  We were in chemical heaven!  What made it even better is that all the prices fit right where we needed them to.  Just barely over the coupon value!

Well, for some reason we forgot the last $15 coupon!  Darn!  It would have only been another $0.36 out of pocket for another fabric softener and HUGE Xtra Detergent!  I guess we were a little too excited to get out the door and go shopping with coupons!  It happens.

The prices shown above are after tax.  So, Total Before coupons $48.24. Total after, $3.24!!!!  What are you waiting for!  I told you to play the Zombie game!  Now do you see that it’s worth 30 minutes of your time to play?

-Side note.  Yes, we did 5 transactions back to back.  We checked out in the Garden Center where it was slow.  No one behind us.  However, even if if was busy, the 5 transactions went very smooth and very fast.  We spent more time after we paid talking to the cashiers about saving money!

Bath & Body Works

How about the Bath & Body Works coupon I mentioned a few days ago?  Did you print yours?  It’s easy to print and easy to redeem!  These make great bath candles for yourself, or great gifts for others!  You can even make it a cute gift basket and throw in some FREE body wash you get all the time with coupons!  Maybe even a razor to go with!  Sounds like a great gift to me!

My husband earned a $50 coupon a while back and it was going to expire in December.  Since we were already at the mall, I figured it would be best to use it.

Gymboree

I always must stop inside Gymboree.  I’ll admit.  I’m adicted :) But of course we did not dare enter without a coupon!  Everything in the store was an extra 25% off and on top of that I had the 20% off coupon from the Family FUN Magazine.  Let’s just say we walked out with a ton of AWESOME deals!

You always want to request those FREE Magazine deals because they always have coupons for us!  Here is one now.

Express

There was a coupon out for Express for $40 off $120, $30 off $75, or $15 off $15.  Of course I want to do the $15 off $15!  However, Express being one of my favorite stores, I caved ;)  I did print the coupon twice so I used one and my husband used one.  I was able to get a few things using the $15 off $15 for only pennies out of pocket.  My husband was able to get me an adorable pencil skirt, shirt, and dress for about 75% off retail!  Even though that total wasn’t FREE, it was still a HOT deal.  And of course they were HOT pieces

*Note the Express coupon now states that the $15 must be used on $30 or more.  When I printed mine, it was different wording.  Still a great deal!

All in all, we had a blast shopping with the family looking for deals!  The kids were able to throw pennies in the fountain and help point out products in Home Depot.  I had a great weekend.  How about you?  What did you score?
