Angry Birds Birthday Party

Angry Birds Birthday Party Games

With every party there must be games to play!  Since the theme was Angry Birds, we HAD to have the slingshot game!  So, my wheels were turning.  Boxes.  Balls.  And of course, the slingshot.  So now to put it together.

Angry Birds Slingshot

1.  Building the slingshot.  Once I had an idea of what I wanted for the slingshot, I described it to my husband.  After all, he had to contribute to the party as well right?  It’s good to delegate projects when planning an event if you can.  If you try to take on too much alone, it gets overwhelming.  I have learned that lesson before.

So, pretty much he used 2×4’s, (2) workout bands, and I sewed the thingy you launch the balls with.

2.  Painting the Angry Birds Balls.  Just like the game, I wanted the kids to be able to launch Angry Birds.  The best things for the job were kick balls.  They came in just the right colors as well!  Red and Yellow!  All I did was draw onto the ball with a pen how I wanted the faces to look, and then painted onto them with acrylic paint.  Easy peesy!

Of course, you could buy the Angry Birds Kick Balls, but they are $14.99 each!  To some people it might be worth it to skip the artsy step.

3.  Making the destruction set.  This was very easy.   just took several boxes of all different sizes so I could stack them on top of each other.  I spray painted them different colors to represent the real Angry Birds game.  The kids even helped on this step.
