Angry Birds Birthday Party Day 1: Invitations
Angry Birds Birthday Party
Okay, I have something FUN for you guys! This year was quite a busy one with several different events going on at once. Launa and Logan’s birthdays are less than a month apart so we decided to have a joint party for them with all their friends this year. As we were brainstorming theme ideas, Logan was playing Angry Birds on my phone. That’s how they decided an Angry Birds birthday party would be FUN. I’m so glad they agreed on one without a fight! I quickly got to work planning all the FUN stuff for the party. I am happy to say that I took A LOT of pictures s I could share the party with you and show you step by step instructions on how I planned the party.
Join me over the next several days as I post the steps to creating your own Angry Birds Birthday Party!
Angry Birds Birthday Party Day 1: Invitations
The first thing you need for any party are invitations. Of course, I am going to show you the frugal way! These were totally FREE for me since everything I used I already had on hand.
I used my Cricuit and the George and Basic Shapes Cricuit Cartridge. Everything I needed was on this one cartridge.
You will need to cut out 7 different shapes to complete the Red Angry Bird. The first is the red circle of course for the body.
The second shape is a black flower for the Red Angry Bird’s tail. You only need to cut out half as many flowers as there are invitations. The reason being is because once they are cut from the Cricuit, you will cut them all in half as shown above.
The third shape is a black trapezoid for the ‘angry’ eye brows. You need to cut twice as many of these since there are two for every invitation. The fourth shape is a small white circle for the eyes. You will also need twice as many of these circles since there are two on every invitation.
The fifth shape will be for the mouth. There are two different options. The first is pictured on the left where I printed a heart and cut it in half for the beak. The second option is pictured on the right where I just cut a plain triangle. Either option will work.
The sixth and final shape is a red flower. It’s the same flower font as from the black tail, just as inch smaller. Once again you will be cutting the flowers in half to use them as the head feathers.
Technically the Red Angry Bird has the white belly. But when I played with that option I didn’t like it too much. You can of course add it if you want. The last detail on the angry bird are the black dots on the eyes. I starting cutting out all these tiny black circles, and then about halfway through I realized it would be more productive to just color them in with a Sharpie!
The last part of the Angry Birds Birthday invitation is the invitation of course! Just print out all the party info in a word document and once they are printed out you can cut them in a circle. Then simply glue the details to the back the cute angry birds you have already made! And there you have it, a very unique, very frugal, Angry Birds Birthday Party Invitation!
Stay tuned for Day 2! Will be posted tomorrow!
