My Enfamil Story

By Extreme Couponing Rudy on April 11th, 2012

So, a few weeks ago I opened a new can of Enfamil formula for my daughter.  After I had already made a bottle I realized it was out of date.  I took it back to Walmart, with the receipt, in hopes of just exchanging it for another can of the same size.  They wouldn’t take it back or exchange it.  They said they couldn’t because it was open.  I don’t know if this is their official policy on things like this, in fact I was tempted to contact Walmart Corporate, but I didn’t this time.  Instead I wrote an e-mail to Enfamil.  I explained the situation and I included that I love their product and I was sure they would take care of me!  A few weeks later I received the package pictured above!  Not only did they make me a happy Enfamil customer, but they sent me a double pack of formula!  My pack that was expired was a single!

I wanted to share this with you because I want you to know that companies do listen.  This is not the first time I have written a company in regards to a product.  If you buy a package of taco shells and get home only to notice they are ALL broken, send an e-mail!  If you open a package of diapers only to notice several are missing the tab that holds the diaper on, e-mail them!  I could go on and on with examples, but just remember, you paid for the item, (even if it was with a coupon) so if it’s not in the condition portrayed by the product, do something about it!

Just last week Scott bought 2 packages of Sabra hummus, he never checks dates, but the very next day I discovered they were both out of date! I never thought to email the company though! Good suggestion. :)

Btw, our Walmart sometimes has expired bread on the shelf as well, so it’s a good idea to check and save ourselves some hassle…
