Whole Wheat Pancakes
Our family loves pancakes! What better way than to make them a little more nutritious! You can always add a few extras such as chocolate chips or blueberries. We have a few blueberry bushes and I can’t wait to add them to the recipes this year!
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons turbinado or sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups buttermilk or milk
- 1/4 cup oil or melted butter
- 3 cups whole wheat flour
Directions
- Combine all the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder baking soda and sugar in a bowl. Mix the eggs, milk and oil/butter in a separate bowl.
- Add egg mixture to flour mixture and stir until just mixed.
- Cook on a greased non-stick or cast iron pan or griddle.
